Character Breakdown:
Seymour Krelborn – (Male, Tenor, 20s-30s) A meek, insecure, and put-upon floral shop assistant who discovers an unusual plant that changes his life. Seymour is awkward yet endearing, with a strong moral compass despite his poor decision-making. Must have strong comedic timing and vocal ability.

Audrey – (Female, Mezzo-Soprano/Belter, 20s-30s) Seymour’s co-worker and longtime crush. She’s sweet and kind but has low self-esteem, leading her to stay in an abusive relationship. She dreams of a better life and longs for a “Somewhere That’s Green.” Requires strong vocal ability and emotional depth.

Mr. Mushnik – (Male, Baritone, 50s-60s) The gruff and opportunistic owner of Mushnik’s Flower Shop. A fatherly figure to Seymour but primarily concerned with profit and self-preservation. Requires strong comedic delivery.

Orin Scrivello, DDS – (Male, Baritone/Tenor, 20s-40s) Audrey’s sadistic and abusive dentist boyfriend. Over-the-top and hilariously evil, he enjoys causing pain. This role often doubles as various ensemble characters, requiring versatility and comedic skills.

The Urchins (Crystal, Ronnette, Chiffon) – (Female, Strong Singers, 20s-40s) A sassy, street-smart Greek chorus that narrates the story through Motown-style musical numbers. Must have strong harmonizing skills, stage presence, and the ability to interact with the audience.

Audrey II (Voice) – (Any Gender, Baritone/Bass with Rock Influence) The mysterious, smooth-talking, and increasingly powerful alien plant. Must have strong vocal presence and the ability to convey humor and menace through voice alone.

Ensemble - (Any Gender) plays various characters, including the voices of the street people in Skid Row, who offer commentary through the musical numbers. They also double as the plant’s "chorus," helping to bring Audrey II’s presence to life.
